Consultations and Video Educational Visits

We are out-of-network for all private and government insurance health plans.  We no longer accept any form of Medicaid, Access, Medicare including Part B or Medicare Advantage plans.

All patients pay half of their visit fees at the time of booking, and pay the remainder of the fees at the time of the visit. After a visit patients are given a coded receipt that they may send to their insurer for possible reimbursement.

You are responsible for determining your own insurance coverage, benefits, or possible reimbursement rates. We do not know and we make no guarantee if you will receive any reimbursement. Please call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to determine possible reimbursement rates for your plan.

Initial appointments for in-state adults and medically complicated-children are 1.5 hours in duration and cost $825.  Visits for all children with and without autism under age of 10 and non-complex children under age 18 are 1 hour in duration and cost $550.

If you are traveling here from another state or country, we book a longer appointment time to discuss your issues. Out of state adults visits are 2 hours and cost $1100.  Follow-up visits in person or via Skype/phone are 30 ($275), 45 minutes ($400) 0r 60 minutes ($550) typically in 3-4 month intervals.

Dr. Nemechek also does educational video visits for international clients only.  These generally run 1 hour and cost $550. Please be aware that these conferences are educational in nature. Licensing and malpractice regulations limit the scope of the discussion during these visits.

Follow-up visits for our out of state and international patients may be done by phone or video for up to eighteen months after an in-person visit.  INITIAL VIDEO/PHONE CONSULTATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS CALLING FROM WITHIN THE U.S..

Initial office visits include a lengthy history and physical exam if required, lab or medical records review, and an individualized treatment plan.

Dr. Nemechek requires a 2-week advanced notice of cancellation for new patient appointments and a 2-day advance notice of cancellation for follow-up appointments or else the patient will lose their deposit for the new patient appointment or be charged the full price of the follow-up appointment.

Dr. Nemechek may recommend a small number of nutrients or supplements which can be purchased online at Amazon and other similar retailers.

All pricing is subject to change without notice.  All visit times are approximate and may include time spent in other communications with Dr. Nemechek or his office.  Patients are charged a flat fee for the length of time of the visit on the schedule, whether or not the full time is used. There is no additional charge if extra time is required to finish a clinical visi7O

Video visits give you the opportunity to talk to Dr. Nemechek.  He can provide general information regarding particular medical disorders and symptoms but because of licensing and malpractice restrictions he will not be able to make any form of diagnosis, determine doses, prescribe medications, or order testing of any sort.  A 1-hour video visit consultation is $550.

But even with those licensing restrictions, you may really want to talk to Dr. Nemechek because of his background and experience with complex issues and his work with people who may be just like you.  Many healthcare professionals lack the knowledge or the experience to teach you about the Autonomic Nervous System, they do not understand the science behind the medicine, they have never achieved autonomic improvement or recovery in their patients, or they have never begun to answer your questions “why”or “how” your health may have broken.

You may also want to talk to Dr. Nemechek because he is the scientist physician who invented The Nemechek Protocol for Autonomic Recovery (U.S. Patent #10,335,396).  Many individuals find these sessions an invaluable introductory process, making the decision to travel to Arizona for a formal medical consultation with Dr. Nemechek easier.

The most common billing codes are 99204 (new) and 99213 (follow-up) for in-person physician office visits.

The billing code for autonomic testing is 95921 and the diagnostic code often used is G90.9 (autonomic nerve disease).

We do not offer any guarantee that your insurer will accept these codes nor reimburse you.

Effective July 1, 2018 Dr. Nemechek opted out of Medicare.  By law once a physician opts out of Medicare both the physician and the patients (or their legal representatives) are prohibited from submitting claims to Medicare.  No Medicare primary or secondary plans may be billed for Dr. Nemechek’s services.

All patients with any type of Medicare are required to enter into a written Private Contract with Dr. Nemechek that they will not submit any claims to Medicare, they accept full responsibility for payment, and that Medicare limits do not apply to what Dr. Nemechek may charge for items and services.

We only accept cash, credit/debit cards, cashier checks, and payments from health savings plans.

We do not accept checks, Paypal, or bitcoin.

No. Although most patients will be prescribed nutritional supplements, these can be purchased inexpensively online from Amazon and other online retailers.

Unlike many integrative and naturopathic health practitioners, there is no pressure or requirement to purchase supplements from our office.
